DOLLS AND MUSHROOMS - NUKKEJA JA TATTEJA

This little girl is one of the latest dolls I've made.
She moved here: http://talo63.blogspot.fi/

Tämä pikkutyttö on yksi viimeksi valmistuneita nukkejani:
Hän muutti tänne: http://talo63.blogspot.fi/

The girl "Vilmiina" who I made earlier has a mother Emma now:

Here is a group of mushrooms I photographed in a forest. The mushrooms are about the original size,
Tässä vielä metsässä kuvaamani tattijoukko. Tatit ovat suurinpiirtein oikeaa kokoa.

KEVÄT JA PUUTARHAKALUSTO - THE SPRING AND GARDEN CHAIRS

Vihdoinkin kevät! Aasin korviako sieltä pilkistää?
It's spring in Finland, finally! Are those donkey ears sprouting from the ground?

I made these garden chairs and table a couple of years ago already but haven't shown them in this blog yet. They are made out of paper doilies (multiple layers glued together), wood and iron wire.

Nyt tarkenee jo juoda kahvit ulkosalla.
It's a bit cool still but warm enough to drink coffee outside.

Nalle on nukkekotini uusin asukas.
Teddy is the newest of the inhabitants of my dollhouse.

Birdie loves spring.
Lintunen rakastaa kevättä.

HOSULIN VENERETKI - THE MUDDLER'S BOAT TRIP

Aurinkoisena elokuun iltapäivänä Hosuli tekee retken rantaan.
On a sunny August afternoon The Muddler makes a trip to the lake.

Pihlaja on täynnä marjoja, on kuulas loppukesän ilma. Järvi näkyy puiden lomasta.
Lake can be seen behind the trees. Rowan is full of berries and the air is crisp.

 Rannalla Hosulia odottaa oranssinpunainen kumivene.
The Muddler finds an orange-red rubber boat at the beach.

Hosuli on vähän arka lähtemään vesille ja siksi hän kuivaharjoittelee ensin.
The Muddler is a bit afraid of going to the lake so he practices rowing on the shore.

Kumivene on tehty oranssista ja punaisesta sadetakkikankaasta ja täytetty vanulla. Inspiraation kumiveneeseen sain ruokakaupan pakkasaltaasta, jossa oli kertakäyttöisiä jätskilusikoita, jotka näyttivät minusta ihan kumiveneen airoilta.

Rubber boat is made out of red and orange raincoat fabric and filled with cotton. I got an inspiration for the boat from supermarket where I found free disposable ice cream spoons. I thought they looked exactly like oars of a rubber boat.

Actually the oars are too big for the boat or the boat is too small for the oars but I guess it's not so bad. Black handles are made out of fake leather and bits of a broken headphone cord.

Vene kelluu ihan hyvin, airot eivät meina pysyä matkassa.
Boat floats well, oars are trying to float away.

Istualtaan Hosuli ei pysy veneessä, mutta kumiveneessä on mukava maata selällään, katsella taivasta, unelmoida ja kuunnella laineiden liplatusta auringonsäteiden välkehtiessä veden pinnalla.

The Muddler can't stay in the boat while sitting but then he discovers he can lie down on his back and look at the sky, dream and listen to the waves while sunbeans are sparkling on the water.

Mutta niinkuin odottaa saattaa, Hosuli kastuu. Onneksi ei ihan likomäräksi kuitenkaan. Se ei haittaa Hosulia, päivä on niin ihana ja maisemat kauniit.

As one could expect, The Muddler gets wet, but fortunately not soaking wet. The Muddler doesn't mind, the day is so lovely and views are so beautiful.
